I let hope linger in the air while I drifted off to sleep. Suspended there, those last words hovered over me in the darkness, bringing peace and calm to that room and to my soul. That so much brokeness can be healed with just the faintest of whispers is a gift from the One who saves me over and over again. This is the reason why dusk is my favorite time of day. It's presence is unassuming, easy to miss. It's the silent grand finale to the day...when the sky and the clouds change colors before your eyes and bring peace and closure to the day. I learn from its steady presence that it's sometimes the quietest moments that imprint themselves most permanently on your heart. Photo by Fort Photo.
